The City Clerk is an elected position with the election being held every four years. The City Clerk is the record keeper for the City of Dardanelle. The Clerk is responsible for all records pertaining to the City Council and Planning Commission meetings, and keeping permanent records of all ordinances and resolutions passed by the City Council. The Clerk prepares the agenda and records the minutes for all council meetings. The Clerk’s office is responsible for maintaining the historical records of the businesses of the City dating back to the late 1800’s.

The City Clerk’s office also issues all business permits (a requirement for anyone doing business within the City of Dardanelle).

This office also issues cemetery lot certificates for Brearley Cemetery and handles legal publications.
