The Dardanelle Fire Department serves a rural community of 4,517 (2020 census) residents in 6 square miles and is located 88 miles west of Little Rock. Our department has 22 active volunteers that provide structural and wildland firefighting as well as auto extrications and rope rescues to the residents of our community. We have two fire stations strategically located in Dardanelle. The city’s insurance rating is Class Four. There are 15 volunteer fire departments located throughout Yell County that provide fire protection to all other county residents.
